Sweet, sweet summertime! We've certainly been enjoying the sunshine and longer days here at Urban Southern; What about you? Whether it's hiking with your dog, taking a dip in the pool, or sitting on the porch with a good book, we hope you've taken some time to relax and let the summer breeze clear your mind. 

Along with all the lovely sunshine we've been soaking up, it's been a busy few months here at the shop. Our latest designs, The Postal Crossbody, Half-Moon Belt Bag, and the Lancaster 5-Pocket Crossbody, debuted in May.

The Postal Crossbody's envelope-style flap and brass accents make it as beautiful to look at as its full-grain leather makes it to touch. The Half-Moon Belt Bag combines a current trend with a retired Urban Southern design for versatility that stands out. The Lancaster Crossbody retains all the organization of our 5-Pocket Crossbody, while opting for a more understated appearance, inspired by a custom request.

All three designs feature smaller profiles and hands-free straps, making them the perfect companions for your summer adventures. Keep your essentials stylishly secure at the farmers market, outdoor concert, or any other warm-weather outing without feeling weighed down. 

Along with adding to our design line-up, we also welcomed two new faces to the Urban Southern family. You might recognize Bethany from our Fall 2020 photo shoot, where she and her horse, Bella, first wowed us with their stunning modeling skills. 

Now Bethany wows us in a different way, as our amazing shop and social media manager. Her warmth and creativity, along with her equestrian roots, make her a seamless fit at Urban Southern and we're so happy to have her on our team! 

Our second new team member, Jenna, found us through social media and was thrilled when she realized we were local to her. She reached out about a joining our team and we're so glad she did! Her bright personality, creative eye, and willingness to jump in wherever she's needed, make her the perfect assistant manager for our shop.

You might remember in our last blog we teased a new development that would be coming soon from an extended member of the Urban Southern family. Well, we're proud to announce our brother brand, Welsh Mtn Co., has a shiny, new website!

Just like Urban Southern, Welsh Mtn's line of men’s bags and accessories are handcrafted from full-grain leather, giving them the versatility to go anywhere. From their rucksacks to their briefcases, Welsh Mtn's bags are the perfect companion for adventurous types that value craftsmanship over consumption.
