The husband-and-wife team at the helm of Urban Southern, Daniel and Rachel have built a life around handmade leather goods. When they’re not busy designing and crafting gorgeous leather creations, they love spending time together with their children, especially while outside, enjoying nature.
Growing up with 6 sisters, Daniel feels right at home in a business driven primarily by women. He and Rachel are extremely proud of the strong women that make up the Urban Southern team. They’re also deeply invested in the community the brand inspires among its followers.

Retail Manager/ Social Media Director
With a lifelong passion for horses, Bethany’s appreciation for quality leather started in the barn, from boots to saddles and everything in between.
As store manager, she keeps daily operations running seamlessly and brings a personal touch as the voice behind Urban Southern’s social media.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her at the barn, curled up with a good book, or baking a sweet treat.

Production Assistant
Jennifer's love for crafts and sewing first led her to the retail store to purchase some scrap leather.
She uses her years of sewing experience and perfectionist-personality to continue the tradition of quality that is at the core of every Urban Southern bag.
In her free time she can be found working on a piece of jewelry or perfecting a beautiful painting!

Kathy Ebersol
Production Assistant
Kathy grew up around the leather crafting industry, with her grandfather and now uncle operating the Smucker's Harness leather shop, and turning Urban Southern into what it is today. She enjoys the satisfaction of stitching and finds sewing to be a therapeutic outlet.
When she's not sitting at a sewing machine crafting leather creations, she enjoys fine-tuning her photography skills, or pursuing her musical talents playing the piano and singing with friends.

Lorissa Zimmerman
Production Assistant
Lorissa's love for creating led her to take a leatherworking class in high school, sparking an interest that eventually brought her to Urban Southern.
She enjoys meeting new people and helping customers find exactly what they're looking for. She also loves the hands-on side of her work, from creating custom engraving designs to sewing leather goods.
Outside of work, Lorissa enjoys playing guitar, horseback riding, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends.

Dave Stoltzfus
Production Manager
Dave's journey in leather-working began at just 13 years old, when he started working at Smucker's Harness, the original leather shop run by Urban Southern owner Daniel's father. Years later, he's still putting those skills to good use!
Dave enjoys the hands-on side of leather-working, especially tackling large cutting projects.
When he's not busy in the workshop, Dave enjoys spending time on the golf course, getting in a round whenever he can!
